A very personal tour of San Pedro Town on the island of Ambergris Caye in Belize from a local. The first part is just an in-person interview, followed by video clips of the town, some attractions and some scuba diving. We didn't stay in Ambergris Caye since it is very popular with tourists and we wanted something more remote - but many people enjoy it!
Interesting look at the banana industry and production in Belize. This is a whole side of the country we never really learned about or got to see while we were there. The video goes through the entire process from the banana tree to the production line to packing into boxes. Quite interesting!
Here's our 4th video from our adventure trip to Belize, this time of our crocodile encounter in New River Lagoon just across from Lamanai Outpost Lodge. This was an incredibly fascinating night excursion, where we caught about the biggest crocodile allowed with tourists on the boat when doing research. This male is about 4 1/2 feet and weighed 7 kilograms (almost 16 pounds) - it took 10 minutes for him to tire out and bring onto the airboat.
We learned so much about crocodiles in general and about the croc population in the Lamanai River, so kudos for such an education program hosted by Lamanai Outpost Lodge. The research here is done in conjunction with researchers in Florida, tagging and measuring the local crocodile populations. The most memorable thing is just how soft and smooth the crocodile skin is!
由于灯光问题,Blue Hole 钟乳石部分只能中断,不过,这里您可在这个著名水肺潜水点看到更深的钟乳石,而在这些钟乳石之间潜水可有另有一种感受!
Since the deep, stalagtite portion of my Blue Hole dive video was cut short due to camera lighting, here's a video that shows the deeper portion of this famous scuba dive site. Here you can see some of the stalagtite formations, and how interesting it is to swim between them. Some of the larger ones we saw are still significantly bigger than these, but this clip at least gives an idea - as you can see, the rest of the dive is not that interesting...
